Description

AGEISS Inc is seeking a part-time Staff Accountant. This position is located on-site in our Longmont, CO office. The Staff Accountant will assist the Accounting Department to ensure the integrity of accrual accounting information. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions
• Prepares monthly client invoices and performs A/R collections 
• Maintains fixed assets and submits personal property tax reports annually
• Assists in preparation of year-end audit paperwork, along with assisting with preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports
• Supports and prepares Joint Venture Accounting books including general ledger, and financial statements in QuickBooks
• Supports and assists as needed with Payroll, AP, and other general accounting duties within the department
• Assists Accounting Manager, with external audits and reporting to DCAA

JOB REQUIREMENTS:  

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Federal government accounting experience 
• Familiarity with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures required
• Motivated self-starter and extremely detail oriented, and able to multi-task
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel
• Experience with Unanet preferred
