Description
TWO Positions
1. Review and reconcile business records and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
2. Conduct comprehensive reviews of individual, business, trust, gift, and nonprofit income tax returns for both federal and states compliance.
3. Analyze and respond to federal and states tax notices for individuals, businesses, trusts, and nonprofits, liaising directly with tax authorities on behalf of clients, while providing strategic guidance and recommendations.
4. Develop and implement tax planning strategies in accordance with current federal and states regulations to optimize client outcomes. Provide expert technical tax advisory services and lead client meetings.
5. Supervise and support team members to ensure the timely and accurate filing of income tax returns and related business filings, including but not limited to payroll, 1099 contractor payments, sales tax, use tax, and business registrations.
6. Review and update internal processes, checklists, and instructions, offering guidance and feedback to ensure team efficiency and accuracy.
7. Contribute to the onboarding process for new clients, supporting business development initiatives and fostering strong client relationships.
8. Verify income of the clients and assess whether they qualify as 'accredited investors' as defined under Rule 501 of the Securities Act, and provide formal written confirmation of their status if requested

Education Requirement: Master’s Degree in Accounting or closely related (Foreign Equivalent).
Experience Requirement: Three Years in Tax Preparing specifically in the following skills:
1. Reviewing and preparing corporate, individual, and trust tax returns
2. Reviewing and reconciling corporate accounts and financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, profit-loss, and general ledgers)
Special Requirements: valid CPA License
Alternative Education/Experience Accepted
Education – Bachelor’s in Accounting or closely related (Foreign Equiv OK)
Experience – 5 years of experience in Tax Preparing specifically in the following skills:
Reviewing and preparing corporate, individual, and trust tax returns
Reviewing and reconciling corporate accounts and financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, profit-loss, and general ledgers)
Special Requirements: valid CPA License
